Dinal Patel
Electrical Designer (Design Engineer I)
Dinal Patel is an electrical design engineer specializing in power system modeling, arc-flash analysis, and code-compliant LV/MV design for municipal and industrial infrastructure. At SLKA, she develops and analyzes SKM PTW one-line models for water and wastewater facilities; performs arc-flash, short-circuit, and protective device coordination studies in alignment with NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEEE, NEC, and NESC; and translates findings into clear mitigation plans, labeling, and client-ready reports that improve safety, reliability, and operability—including optimization support for pump station operations.
Her background includes developing detailed AutoCAD packages (one-lines, risers, grounding, lighting, PLC panels), executing load calculations and equipment sizing, and optimizing cross-disciplinary workflows via efficient CAD standards and templates. Known for organizing diverse teams and communicating complex concepts simply, she disaggregates challenges into actionable tasks and drives on-time, standards-aligned results.
Dinal holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a Mathematics minor from Kennesaw State University and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Engineering Management at KSU (expected Fall 2025). Her toolkit includes SKM PTW, AutoCAD, MATLAB, and the Microsoft Office suite, enabling data-driven design, rigorous model verification, and concise, decision-ready deliverables.
