Scope of Work

S. L. King & Associates, Inc. was honored to serve as part of the engineering team supporting the mechanical design for the renovation of three historic mansion buildings on Princeton University’s campus. This adaptive reuse project revitalized 19th-century residences located at 112, 113, and 116 Prospect Avenue.

  • 112 Prospect Avenue (10,000 SF) was converted into five modern apartment units for faculty housing.
  • 113 Prospect Avenue (4,100 SF) was transformed into two residential units for faculty.
  • 116 Prospect Avenue (3,820 SF) was repurposed to serve as administrative office space.

Each structure was upgraded with high-efficiency VRF HVAC systems, and SL KING provided critical mechanical engineering services including BIM coordination, HVAC load calculations, schematic design, and detailed reporting. Our goal was to ensure seamless integration of advanced mechanical systems while preserving the architectural integrity of these historic buildings.
